Colombia. The company Solistica launched a new operation for Johnson & Johnson after the transfer of inventory from Bogota, Colombia, to the outskirts of the city, with the aim of having a warehouse designed to respond to the customer's requirements.
The company Solística expressed its satisfaction with the official opening of the new Johnson & Johnson operation that will operate in warehouse 13 of the Siberia Business Park, located in the town of Funza, near Bogota.
The project began its implementation phase on June 1, 2023 and will allow Solistica to provide a tailor-made solution for the storage and distribution of the company's products, with the required temperature and humidity conditions.
The operation will have a new temperature control room with a range between 15 and 25°C, and a relative humidity control of 60% +/- 5% for the entire storage area of 160 pallet positions.
In addition, a three-level mezzanine was built, with 124 square meters per level (372 m2 in total) for picking operations. A spiral belt was also implemented for the outgoing flow of orders, three packing tables with Zebra computers and printers, 2 scales of 300 kg and a scale of 2 tons.
The scope of the project also included a series of infrastructure adaptations such as expansion of the fire-fighting network in thermo-controlled areas, installation of CCTV security cameras and signage upgrades, among others. In the same way, the qualification of the thermo-controlled areas will be developed and a complete thermal mapping of the winery will be carried out.
"The Go Live of the new operation was on January 2, 2024. The project is currently in a stabilization and post-start-up monitoring stage, which included the final qualification of the facilities, which was carried out on February 25 of this year. During this process, the correct performance and functionality of the entire implemented infrastructure will be verified through tests," the company said.
