Mexico/U.S. Lennox recently held a ceremony of laying the first stones and start of works for the expansion of the manufacturing plant that the brand has in the town of Saltillo, for the HVAC equipment business.
For more than a decade, the American manufacturer has operated in Saltillo with a one million square foot facility for the manufacture of residential HVAC equipment. The new commercial facility will be located close to its existing facilities and will focus on high-volume, low-variation products for the emergency replacement market.
The company expects the new plant to start production by the end of 2024.
Opening of renovated Marshalltown, Iowa facility
Lennox recently commemorated the completion of renovations at its Marshalltown facility, five years after a devastating tornado caused significant damage to the facility.
The brand has a long history of resilience and commitment to the community of Marshalltown, Iowa, where the company was founded by railroad machine repair entrepreneur Dave Lennox in 1895.
"The completion of the reconstruction of the Marshalltown facility is a new chapter in our company's history," said Alok Maskara, CEO of Lennox. "This is a celebration of our commitment to customers, employees and our community. I am incredibly proud of the immense hard work and resilience our team has shown in the face of adversity." Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds joined Maskara, Lennox executives, board members and local officials to celebrate the grand opening of the new, modernized, state-of-the-art facility on July 13.
The renovated Lennox facility features nearly one million square feet of manufacturing and office space. The investments include improved building infrastructure, more automated manufacturing equipment, a new office building and a museum showcasing the Lennox company's history of innovation and excellence during its 128 years in business. The upgraded building infrastructure features numerous sustainable attributes, including a Lennox Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system.
