Brazil. Emerson announced the hiring of Ana Carolina de Souza Rodrigues, the new Senior Sales and Applications Engineer, to join the company's engineering team.
Ana Carolina has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Federal Fluminense and Stony Brook University, a postgraduate degree in Maintenance Engineering from Universidade Candido Mendes, and has worked in several companies in the HVAC-R sector, where she gained experience in the areas of PMOC, air conditioning applications, commercial, residential and refrigeration equipment,
However, the engineer will be responsible for the application engineering area at Emerson Brazil, where she will have to put into practice her experience in the field, her vision on maintenance and air quality, integrating the respective regulations in addition to her skills developed in the commercial segment.
"I believe one of Emerson's main challenges is learning, both our own and the one we share with our customers and the industry, given the dynamism of our market. Many changes are occurring with the application of solutions with greater energy efficiency, lower environmental impact and the strengthening of industry 4.0. Here at Emerson, we are building these changes together with our customers. By being able to understand what our customers need, we can serve them with the best solution. All construction and development is a challenge, however, it is very exciting to be part of this story," said Ana Carolina.
He also added that, soon, the brand will have news in the area of training and highlighted the training center that the company has in its Sorocaba plant, located in the interior of São Paulo.

Emerson assures that as a company it is "committed, promoting the insertion of women in the HVAC-R sector, in addition to intensifying the visibility of women in this market". In that sense, Emerson Brazil has 21% of women working in various areas plans to increase by 2030, especially in leadership positions.
For the specific case of Brazil, Emerson invests in actions aimed at women, actively participating in actions such as those of the Women's Committee of Abrava (Brazilian Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Heating), where Joana Canozzi is vice president, and of the Diversity of Ashrae South of Brazil (American Society of Engineers in Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning - South Chapter of Brazil), with Ana Carolina Rodrigues as president.
"I am very happy to be part of a company that has this concern, and not only that, that gives us the opportunity to demonstrate our competence and that we are capable and ready to serve the HVACR market. At Emerson, our engineering direction for Latin America is headed by a woman, Joana Canozzi. It is an honor to be working today in the same team, she is a great professional and an inspiration for many, "said Ana Carolina.
International commitment
Finally, it's worth noting that Emerson maintains a partnership with the global Women's Impact Network program, which provides support and networking opportunities for employees around the world, a group that by 2021, reached 5,000 members and reached the milestone of 100 chapters across the organization. In addition, this program helped propel Emerson forward as an organization, helping to increase the number of women in leadership positions, host webinars, and attract a new generation of women in STEM to the company, through partnerships with the Society of Women Engineers and several universities.
