United States. The intelligent thermostat of the Breez Max reference of the Cielo brand was the winning product of the product of the year award at the AHR Expo, with which it was consolidated as the most striking solution at the fair.
Anees Jarral, co-founder and CTO of Cielo, commented that it was very important for his company to receive the award, as it was recognition of the work of his engineers and the technology they have developed. This award, in the words of Jarral "gives a great impulse towards innovation and better things that can add comfort, convenience and the last thing: a lot of energy savings."
Let's remember that the AHR Expo has 10 different categories to highlight and recognize innovation in HVAC/R industry products, in which it has become an annual competition that serves as a showcase for original and innovative solutions, products that have been previously selected by a panel of external judges, who are members of ASHRAE.
It is important to note that the award-winning products for this 2023 had already been announced since October 2022, the novelty in this case is that they were exhibited at the AHR Expo, which takes place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta in Georgia.
Awards ceremony
On Monday, February 6, during the first day of the AHR Expo, the winners were honored in Room C206 in the company of Mark Stevens, AHR Expo Show Manager and President of the ASHRAE Society 2022-23.
Another important point is that the money collected from the registration fees for this innovation award is invested locally for the growth of the industry. In 2023, the investment will be in the HVACR program of the Atlanta College and Career Academy (ACCA), which received $25,000 to equip itself with new technological equipment, certify students, and make various improvements to the program.
Finally, ACCA's Principal and Executive Director, Dr. Tasharah Wilson, gave thanks on behalf of the Atlanta Public Schools. "We serve all Atlanta public high school students, HVAC is one of our great avenues, and we truly appreciate your investment in helping us continue to prepare your future workforce."
