Mexico. Through a press conference, Danfoss Mexico revealed that it has begun the manufacture of the ICF Valve in its full range of sizes and with Mexican inputs at its Apodaca plant in Nuevo León for international markets.
The company explained that this new production line is totally identical to that of China and Poland and manufactures 40% of the global demand.
The workstation dedicated to this product, allows a safe, ergonomic and adequate handling of it as well as the configuration and instructions guided by computer and automatic tools. Danfoss Mexico's production line has a valve station control module test station, to automate processes and test the product before delivering it to the customer.
Likewise, the company announced that the large manufacturing models are ICF 50 and ICF 65, with a computerized process for its configuration and with automatic tools. The workstation dedicated to these models allows a safe and proper handling of the product and its assembly. At the test station, the operation of 100% of the valves, their opening and closing, is validated in an automated way, whether ics control, operated by ICLX gas or motorized ICM. In the leak test module; the assembled valve is immersed in water and air is injected internally at a pressure of 2X as a maximum working metric.
The small models that will be manufactured in Mexico are the ICF sizes 15/20/25 with the advantage of having flexibility to assemble multiple configurations. All of them go through an automatic process of washing the housings that guarantees that they are free of any contaminants. All testing processes and results are controlled through automated software.
"For Danfoss the 'Made in Mexico' seal goes beyond holding the emblem granted by the Ministry of Economy, and that identifies the products manufactured in the country allowing them to be recognized by national and international consumers. For us it is synonymous with world-class quality, a phrase backed by the talent, creativity and innovation of men and women who work every day in the country to offer competitive goods and services. This distinction fills us with pride because as producers and exporters of ICF valves, through the Danfoss label, we reaffirm our presence in international markets," explained Xavier Casas, Managing Director of Danfoss Mexico.
Since 2019 and in order to meet the demand in the Industrial Refrigeration segment in the region, the Danfoss plant in Mexico was given the task of producing the SVL manual valves. Due to the quality with which they were produced, Mexico was selected as the headquarters of the new line of ICF Industrial Refrigeration Valve stations, which are manufactured with Mexican inputs to which the knowledge and experiences of the national workforce are added. This places the "Made in Mexico" at the top of the standard meeting the highest market demands of today's refrigeration industry.
