Colombia. Cartagena will host the first Latin American Congress of Energy Districts to be held from September 27 to 29, 2023, within the framework of the Thermal Districts in Colombia - Phase II project.
This event aims to generate spaces for dialogue and exchange between the different actors in the thermal energy sector to position and highlight them as an alternative for environmental sustainability and the energy transition in Latin American countries.
This will be the first congress in the region, aimed at local and national government institutions, and the large industry that has residual energy or the need for thermal energy for its processes, and in which a face-to-face attendance of about 300 people is expected.
The congress will be organized in conjunction with the Center for Research and Development of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration -CIDARE- attached to ACAIRE, a fundamental ally of the project in the sustainability of knowledge of thermal districts.
It will also have the support of the International District Energy Association-IDEA, an agency that has been working for more than 100 years in the sustainable and efficient provision of energy through thermal districts of cold and heat, and has more than 2,400 members from more than 25 countries.
