In Costa Rica the WES 2022 will be held

Costa Rica. The WES World Engineering Summit 2022 will be held from March 4 to 11, at the Costa Rica Convention Center. It will kick off World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development and feature a one-day congress, on March 7, called "Innovation + Technology + Sustainability = Engineering 2050".

This event organized by the Federated College of Engineers and Architects of Costa Rica (CFIA) and the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO/FMOI), is a meeting and updating space where students and professionals, based on the talks of the exhibitors, share new knowledge in the context of sustainable development.

This will be the first time that the CFIA will host the World Engineering Summit, but also the WFEO General Assembly, which will be held around the same dates and will have its meetings at the Intercontinental Hotel in the city of San José. The president of the CFIA, the engineer Luis Fernando Andrés Jácome, will be in charge of coordinating the Organizing Committee, therefore, of the reception of the delegations of the WFEO, which has more than 90 member countries.

For Professor Gong Ke, President of the WFEO, "WES 2022 provides a unique opportunity, at such a critical time, for people to explore how engineering can provide innovative solutions to finally win the fight against COVID-19 and achieve a transformative and resilient recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic."
