International. With a capacity of 120 MW, the world's largest commercial and industrial rooftop PV plant is located in Jining, Shandong Province of China.
Sungrow was the provider of inverter solutions for this plant located in the industrial park covering 43 roofs. The PV plant is expected to generate 110 GWh per year, powering the industrial park's facilities and feeding the excess electricity it produces to the grid as one of the grid parity projects.
Chain inverter solutions for industrial roofs feature multiple MPPTs, ensuring high performance despite the impact of shade. The high protection capacity makes the inverter robust even in industrial application on roofs where it is vulnerable to corrosive conditions and extreme heat. With compact and highly integrated designs, inverter solutions streamline installations and operation and maintenance, making them an ideal combination for the distributed generation market.
"We focus on renewable energy as it plays an important role in the fight against climate change. Being part of this historic project demonstrates that Sungrow offers an optimized and pragmatic solution, along with industry-leading services and reliable delivery," said James Wu, Vice President of Sungrow.
China is poised to move the country towards a cleaner, low-carbon energy structure with an initiative to strive to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.
