Chile. The Ozone Unit of the Ministry of the Environment of Chile, an organization in charge of technically coordinating this valuable resource for the HVAC-R sector, published the Manual of Good Practices in Refrigeration Systems.
This manual focuses on the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of systems using synthetic refrigerant, classified as A1 (toxicity and flammability). In addition, it seeks to complement technical specifications made by manufacturers for factory-finished systems.
The scope extends to systems classified as Type I, II and III, according to the Chilean Standard - NCh3241:2017.
It should be noted that the material was financed by the Multilateral Fund of the Montreal Protocol, and implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
The writing of the material was carried out by Germán Fuentes Durán, a prominent personality of the national sector and, reviewed by the international eminence Alberto Albert.
