Costa Rica. Lucas Ingenieros announced an agreement with Johnson Controls in which the multinational will acquire the HVAC and electromechanical contractor based in the Heredia area, northwest of San José.
This was confirmed by Eng. Jason Lucas, Founding Partner and General Manager of the company, who said in a statement that the acquisition will close once the government of Costa Rica approves the antitrust filing (Coprocom). "The incorporation of Lucas Ingenieros into a great company will bring growth, new markets and certainly more opportunities for our employees. We will be part of a large global organization with financial strength where we will have a greater variety of products and services to offer our customers."
Lucas also assured that Lucas Ingenieros will retain its corporate name, as well as confirming that there will be no changes in the personnel or in its business strategies. "Our management team has been with Lucas Ingenieros for over 40 years combined and they are all looking to take our organization to the next level. One of the main things Johnson Controls is acquiring is the strength of all of our staff."
Finally, Lucas Ingenieros confirmed that it will continue to prioritize industrial, high-tech, commercial and institutional manufacturing projects, now with a greater focus on realizing more design/construction projects and HVAC services.
