Mexico. Danfoss announced the appointment of Peter Young as the new sales director of the Climate Solutions Mexico division, a position he will take from the first of April 2021, reporting directly to Renato Silveira Majarao, Senior Sales Director of Climate Solutions.
Peter has a long career at Danfoss, starting his career in 1994 as general manager in Colombia after acquiring Jorge Hansen's company. He was the general manager responsible for the entire operation of the company in that country, until in 1999 he moved to Venezuela to serve as director of Danfoss Venezuela after the purchase of Converta and in 2002, he moved to Monterrey to manage the sales division, being responsible for all segments. In 2006 he managed from Brazil the refrigeration division that was later separated into other business areas. His most recent position was the responsibility of indirect channels and industrial refrigeration, at the same time that he worked as Sales Driver of indirect channels in LAM; In addition, he was the chairman of the LMT (Local Management Team) of Danfoss Brazil.
Peter Young's career is extensive, from the first of April he will serve as sales director of the Climate Solutions division, which includes the areas of Cooling and Heating, and its various sales channels such as manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and corporate users. Another main function will be the implementation of ONE ERP, the company's new IT system.
"We must increasingly develop complete solution projects by applying various Climate Solutions product lines, with special emphasis on the areas of digitalization, electrification, urbanization, food security and climate change. The great challenge is to maintain the unity and motivation of the team, to make people grow within an abnormal pandemic situation," he said when asked about what it means to be in front of the Climate Solutions division.
