Mexico. Hillphoenix participated in a major refrigeration project carried out in one of the largest temperature-controlled distribution centers in Latin America and the world: COAX-MX, belonging to Axionlog and located in Mexico City.
In this project, where Bitzer Mexico and Güntner de México also participated, it has a capacity of 420 TR, 100% CO2 with natural and safe refrigerant.
"At Axionlog we are committed to the environment. Therefore, our new Distribution and Operations Center has the most environmentally friendly technology available on the market. By implementing a transcritical cooling system using CO2 as a natural refrigerant, this will ensure the lowest possible environmental impact," the company's statement reads.
Other features of the project are as follows:
20,000 square meters of insulating panel.
Transcritical cooling systems operated with natural refrigerant CO2
-22 °C Degrees – operating temperature in the freezing chamber
0 °C Degrees – operating temperature refrigerated chamber
10,932 m² in refrigeration and storage chambers
Installed capacity of 420 tons of refrigeration
25 temperature-controlled platforms - area 3,100 m²
4 °C Degrees – platform operating temperature
Metal structure for ceiling support with food grade finish
Storage area of 24,000 m²
