Brazil. More and more consumers expect environmental responsibility from companies, which, in addition to other advantages, can also be a great opportunity for cost reduction. RioOFFSITE is an excellent example of a corporation that managed to add sustainability and economy in a single action: energy automation of the refrigeration and air conditioning system.
The data storage company reduced its electricity bill by 25% with Sitrad PRO, automation and remote management software from Full Gauge Controls, a manufacturer of digital instruments for refrigeration, air conditioning and other applications.
The project was implemented by LP Goulart Engenharia in collaboration with SetFrio, both from Rio de Janeiro. "It is our standard procedure to do a sweep to understand the customer's needs and how to best address them. In the case of RioOFFSITE, we knew that the cooling system needed to be optimized, and through the Sitrad PRO we would solve that with a complete view of the installation and an accessible investment. Thus, we achieved a saving of 25% in the first months, which we intend to increase after the completion of the project", explains the engineer and partner of LP Goulart Engenharia, Arthur Vinagre.
The characteristic of the products stored by customers is also considered by LP Goulart when programming the Sitrad PRO, since RioOFFSITE has the specialty of storing electronic products highly sensitive to moisture. "We managed to have access to all the information at a distance, anticipate possible problems before they interfere with the operation of the refrigeration equipment and the quality of what the company is keeping. Some technical problems would only be seen after the total collapse," Arthur adds.
Another advantage to highlight in the use of Full Gauge Controls software is the increase in the useful life of the air conditioner and its parts, also contributing to the saving of financial and environmental resources. "With Sitrad PRO, we managed to get the best out of the equipment without it needing to be at its maximum capacity," explains LP partner Goulart Engenharia.
