International. Victaulic has been developing a series of free virtual courses aimed at construction professionals of its accredited and award-winning program, Victaulic University.
The growing demand for versatile training and coaching options, as well as the reduction of traditional classes, allowed the COVID-19 pandemic to present itself as an opportune time for Victaulic to make available its catalog of courses, many of which are offered by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) – for industry professionals such as owners, engineers, contractors, architects and designers online.
"The launch of Victaulic University's virtual platform is another successful outcome of collaboration with customers to help them solve their challenges," said Luis Henao, Victaulic's regional manager for Central America, the Caribbean and northern South America. "We are pleased to present an innovative and convenient way to support the needs of the industry through high-quality education, in order to contribute to the continuity of an essential sector in the economy."
Since March, Victaulic has conducted 175 online sessions, attracting approximately 7,200 industry professionals from 99 countries. Attendance is growing rapidly as the company adds new content and more users discover the program.
"Victaulic's education program presents valuable information in a well-organized and easy-to-understand way," said Mike Stossel, Senior Design Manager at KNS Sprinkler Design and a recent participant from Victaulic University. "The content is extremely detailed, and we look forward to participating in more courses in the future."
Victaulic's more than 45 pipeline technology courses are available at no cost in two virtual formats: live — instructor-led webinars — and self-regulating courses, which are available at any time. Courses are taught in English, Spanish and German, and new languages are added regularly, covering several industries, including:
· General Engineering / Construction
· Plumbing, Heating and Air
· Data Centers
· Fire protection
· Virtual design and construction
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or also known as Professional Development Hours (PDHs), which are required to maintain engineering certifications, are available immediately upon completion of applicable courses.
Victaulic established the accredited University of Victaulic in 2013.
"Between Victaulic's 100-year legacy and more than 200 years of knowledge among instructors, the global construction industry will undoubtedly benefit from Victaulic University," Quezada said. "So far, we have completed more than 12,000 courses. With our robust content and an ever-expanding resume, there's something for everyone."
