International. Danfoss has introduced the world's self-described electronic expansion valve (EEV), a mini EEV for small A/C units, which enables OEMs to drive greater system efficiency, reliability and quieter operations.
Developed in response to market demand for quieter unit operation and increased reliability, the Danfoss ETS 5M is significantly smaller and lighter than the following best alternatives, giving OEMs the opportunity to create compact system designs or replace them in existing systems.
For comfort applications, the company ensures that the ETS 5M ensures a low acoustic level and offers a high-performance dual-flow capability, allowing for quiet and accurate performance for both cooling and heating.
In addition, the ETS 5M is ideal for high-temperature evaporative computer room air conditioners (CRCs) with direct expansion. Its precise flow control and best-in-class protection against moisture and internal leaks improve system reliability in data centers where constant temperatures must be maintained throughout the day. The new valves are electrically compatible with existing 12V controllers.
