United States. Parker HVAC Filtration, a division of Parker Hannifin Corporation, announced two new filtration products designed specifically for the agricultural industry: the Parker Pur Ag SlimBox filter and the Parker Pur Ag V-Bank filter.
Both filters can be installed in livestock facilities as pathogen barrier filters to trap airborne viruses and the dust particles on which they travel, preventing them from entering the building and contaminating pig or poultry populations, which can lead to catastrophic losses for animal populations and businesses. In addition, both filters are designed for use in Parker Pur Ag housings, grid wall assemblies and eaves mounting systems to provide proper sealing.
Advanced and patented filter systems feature pleated technology with adhesive beads for high dust holding capacity and low airflow resistance. They are ideal for use in evaporative cooling systems, cold cell walls, attic filtration and eaves filtration situations where the ever-present risk of PRRS, PED, influenza, foot and mouth disease, Aujesky, M-hyo, infectious coryza, avian influenza, bronchitis and other potential threats, such as Newcastle disease, can be drastically reduced by investing in a high-quality filtration system.
"Parker HVAC is recognized worldwide for its ability to protect air quality for people and environments," said Perry Hartmann, Business Development Manager for Parker HVAC Filtration. "Expanding our filtration expertise to the farming community was the next logical step and a way to solve a real problem for farmers and ranchers already facing significant industrial challenges that are beyond their control," Hartmann said.
