Colombia. The Plaza Mayor event center, located in the city of Medellín, began since December the installation of its first stage of a power generation system through photovoltaic modules, located on the roof of the north tower.
This action was carried out in partnership with Empresas Públicas de Medellín and is part of the venue's commitment to be sustainable and friendly to the environment.
This stage has a power of 156.24 WP (peak watts), with 504 panels of 310 WP of power each; with which approximately 18% of the energy consumption of the establishment where the system is being connected will be replaced.
On the other hand, the assembly of the second stage will begin in the first quarter of next year and will be located on the roof of the expansion of the Yellow Pavilion. This will have 600 panels of 400 WP of power each. The energy produced will replace approximately 22% of what is currently consumed in the place where the system will be connected.
