Mexico. Nidec Global Appliance (formerly Embraco) was the winner of the Gold Recognition in its second participation in the Nuevo León Award for Competitiveness.
On November 19, the Monterrey Competitiveness Center in strategic alliance with the Government of the State of Nuevo León held the ceremony of delivery of the Nuevo León Competitiveness Award 2019 to successful organizations in the adoption of world-class elements that allow them to impact on the development of the economy and the community.
The Gold Recognition estimates the level of maturity of the organization and qualifies the excellent performance in the results of companies with positive trends in recent years, for which evidence is shown with key operating indicators at national and international level.
The mission of the award is to promote the well-being of the community through the implementation of the model for the competitiveness of organizations; in 2019, 83 organizations from the business, education and government sectors participated, of which 57 are Companies and Nidec Global Appliance obtained one of the 3 recognitions granted in this area in the Gold category.
The recognition was received by Said López, General Manager of Plant and Claudia Valdez, Intercompany Planner of Nidec Global Appliance Mexico, during the 30th edition of the Nuevo León Award held at Cintermex.
"Obtaining the Nuevo León Competitiveness Award 2019 in the Gold category encourages us to continue our work and to redouble our commitment to increase competitiveness in the plant and in general in Nidec Global Appliance," said Said López.
Currently, Nidec Global Appliance's presence comprises a group of 11 manufacturing plants, six research and development centers, three sales offices and a global business support center, distributed throughout eight countries (Brazil, the United States, Mexico, Slovakia, China, Russia, Romania and Italy) and supported by a workforce of 14,000 people. The annual production volume of engines and compressors, combined, is around 60 million units, marketed in more than 80 countries worldwide.
