Colombia. Within the framework of Construverde Colombia 2019 "Revolution of Sustainable Business" (October 2 and 3), an event organized by the Colombian Council of Sustainable Construction, the ceremony of awarding distinctions to 27 real estate projects certified in integral sustainability with LEED will be held.
The installation of the event will feature Roberto Esmeral, Vice Minister of Environmental Planning of the Territory; Ernesto Estefan, President of Grupo Contempo and President of the Board of Directors of the CCCS, accompanied by Viviana Valdivieso, Executive Director of the CCCS and will take place on Wednesday, October 2 at 8:30 am. in the Cubo de Colsubsidio, located in the city of Bogotá.
In this new edition of the event, 27 investors of real estate projects certified in integral sustainability with LEED were awarded the distinctions for their recent achievements and contributions to the sustainable development of the sector.
The awards will be presented by Roger Platt, Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Growth of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), and Viviana Valdivieso, Executive Director of the Colombian Council for Sustainable Construction (CCCS), who will present representatives of different companies with the recognition of these high-performance real estate developments.
"Some real estate projects achieved the highest distinction by obtaining the certification at the Platinum Level, among these are the offices of the WPP Group, made up of seven advertising and communications agencies and, the Ecotower Chicó project, a corporate office building with a strategic location in Bogotá. Grupo Éxito, a new member of the CCCS, and Makro continue to demonstrate that sustainable construction is favorable in the retail sector with the certification of its new warehouses," said Viviana Valdivieso, Executive Director of the Colombian Council of Sustainable Construction.
