International. Carrier has introduced Toshiba Carrier's new VRF, a ceiling unit style fancoil for the Toshiba Carrier VRF system that will allow multiple ceiling units to be connected to a condensing unit and additional VRF fan coil units, in order to help optimize energy efficiency and comfort with an HVAC solution on the roof.
Building on Carrier's legacy of innovation, the Toshiba Carrier VRF Rooftop is the first roofing product line designed specifically with VRF technology.
The VRF Rooftop can use existing roof curbs and ducts and can be installed without coolant pipes in the building. The VRF Rooftop also has an economizing ability to introduce outside air, and when used in conjunction with CO2 sensors, it helps comply with building codes and standards. When these features are combined with options such as electric heat and horizontal or vertical discharge, roof replacements can result in minimal downtime and reductions in installation costs.
Available in capacities of 3, 4 and 5 tons, the Toshiba Carrier VRF Rooftop is ideal for both new construction and modernization projects in school buildings, shopping malls, shopping malls, open office spaces, churches and buildings with structure load requirements.
"The new Toshiba Carrier VRF Rooftop is an industry pioneer, has been specifically designed with VRF technology, and we are thrilled to offer our customers continued innovation in the rooftop segment with this unique VRF integration," said Meredith Emmerich, Director, Ductless & VRF Carrier.
