International. Johnson Controls is one of four industrial manufacturing companies recognized by the Ethisphere Institute as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies in 2019. This is the 12th time Ethisphere has recognized the brand since the list began in 2007.
The Ethisphere Institute is a benchmark in defining and advancing ethical business practices, and this honor underscores our commitment to leading with integrity and prioritizing best practices. In total, the 2019 list was comprised of 128 honorees spanning 21 countries and 50 industries. This year's criteria included the overall quality of ethics and compliance programs, corporate citizenship and accountability, leadership and reputation, governance, and organizational culture.
