Honduras. During the last AHR Expo in Atlanta, Carrier InterAmerica Corporation gave special recognition to one of the most important companies in the textile sector, after having reached more than 10,000 tons in Chillers of the brand.
Gildan is one of the (or perhaps the most) largest companies in the textile world. It is a Canadian company and has focused much of its manufacturing efforts in Honduras. For 17 years, Carrier and the Ayre Group (Carrier's local partner), have been supporting Gildan with HVAC needs.
Gildan has installed nearly 11,000 Tons of Chillers Carrier at its facilities in Rio Nance, Honduras.
In its last plant, RN6, Gildan opted for a configuration of ice water system in Counterflow Series, with Carrier's VFD Tri-Rotor Screw technology, achieving a record kw/ton.
"In addition to achieving the best efficiency, they surpassed the aforementioned mark of 10,000 Tons, and for that we wanted to thank them for their trust during these almost 17 years. We also recognize that this achievement would not have been possible without the excellent support of Grupo Ayre, our local ally," said Ricardo Ardila, strategic account manager of Carrier InterAmerica Corporation.
