United States. A select group of consultants and professionals from Panama and Costa Rica recently visited johnson Controls' new Engineering and Advanced Development Center, or "JADEC" (Johnson Controls Advanced Development Engineering Center) in Pennsylvania, United States.
During the visit, guests toured the complex's state-of-the-art facilities, advanced testing laboratories, received training, and learned from experts about the latest Product Developments from Johnson Controls.
Located in the South Central region of Pennsylvania, United States, Johnson Controls' Center for Advanced Engineering and Development is, according to the company, the newest and most advanced engineering and testing complex for Chillers worldwide. The world-class facility boasts a total area of 36,000 square meters, encompassing a 23,000-square-meter testing laboratory, a support facility that consolidates other engineering disciplines, and an office building. This facility complements Johnson Controls' research and development complex located in Wuxi, China and its new headquarters for the Asia-Pacific region located in Shanghai.
Other features of Johnson Controls' Center for Advanced Engineering and Development include: A test lab that rises to 20 meters in some areas to accommodate York chillers, including the new York YZ chiller and York air handling units.
More than 20 laboratories, equipped with air and water cooled chillers, acoustic devices, power electronics, compressors, air treatment units and several other laboratories to stimulate innovation and development.
A training center focused on technologies for variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, chillers, and other products and technologies.
