Peru. The distribution and contractor company Cold Import, will celebrate next September 60 years of uninterrupted activities within the air conditioning and refrigeration sector.
The company was founded by Mr. Nicolo Giaimo and Mrs. Mary Giaimo. In the beginning, they only sold accessories and spare parts for domestic refrigeration, then commercial refrigeration until they reached industrial refrigeration.
25 years ago it ventured into the sale of air conditioning equipment and later came to distribute the Carrier brand, at first with residential type equipment and then with applied equipment, with which they have successfully carried out many projects in hotel chains, office buildings, shopping centers, clinics, supermarkets, convention centers, universities and among others.
15 years ago they ventured into the refrigeration sector in supermarkets, for this purpose they made an alliance with the company Eletrofrio – Brazil and to date they have carried out multiple projects of the main supermarket chains Tottus, Plaza Vea, Wong, Metro and others.
2 years ago they made the first refrigeration installation in the region using ecological refrigerant CO2 in a subcritical system successfully. The business unit also implemented a BMS controls item with the Carel brand.
In addition, the company achieved this 2018 the ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certification under rigorous audit of its Integrated Management System processes by the famous German company TUV.
Cold Import, in its commitment to social responsibility, conducts seminars and talks permanently and free of charge for various technicians in Lima and provinces (Carrier with Eng. Alex Martinez, Emerson with Eng. Giovanni Barletta and for our company with Eng. Ernesto Sanguinetti).
In addition, they sponsor the children of the technicians free of charge to study and prepare at the prestigious Senati institute without remuneration for this sponsorship. And in the month of December they celebrate the Christmas party for children, through the association ATRAE, it is attended by more than 700 children, who are the children of their customers and children of technicians from various companies in the medium. On that occasion many prizes are raffled among the attendees and we offer a great children's show and at the end of the event each child is given a Christmas gift.
