International. ASHRAE opened a new online portal that makes it easy for construction professionals to access the set of resources related to Standard 90.1 - Energy Standard for buildings except low-rise residential buildings.
"The ASHRAE 90.1 standard is used globally as an industry benchmark to set minimum energy performance standards and energy codes," says Drake Erbe, chair of ASHRAE's 90.1 standard committee. "Bringing all 90.1-related resources together in one place will allow construction professionals to focus more on delivering energy efficiency requirements, knowing they have access to the most up-to-date information on standard 90.1."
Portal features include:
- A multi-publishing online tool that allows users to view each post side by side or separately, as well as copy, paste, print, or annotate content as needed.
- The ability to see the official ASHRAE Interpretations in the context where they matter.
- Access the Standard 90.1 User Manual, which provides detailed instructions for the design of commercial and high-rise residential buildings to ensure standard compliance. The user manual also includes measurements and calculations on both I-P and SI units, sample calculations, application examples, forms to demonstrate compliance, and references to related resources and websites.
- A redlined version of the 90.1 standard that shows the changes that were made since the previous edition.
Users can visit the website www.ashrae.org/901portal to configure login credentials and access the portal. Once inside, users can customize their experience to access updated Standard 90.1 resources in a consolidated location.
