International. Ziehl-Abegg announced that it is increasing its turnover at a faster rate than expected, driven by energy-saving products.
"At the end of November we reached sales of half a billion euros," says Peter Fenkl, CEO of Ziehl Abegg. The Künzelsau-based industrial company develops, builds and sells electric fans and motors for elevators, medical technology applications, remotely operated underwater vehicles and electric buses.
The company explained that 2017 will enter Ziehl-Abegg's books as a record year. After reaching sales of 484 million euros in 2016, by the end of December this year the company expects to record annual sales of around 530 million euros. This represents an increase of ten percent.
"Positive development on all continents is being driven by modern products that save energy and are used in numerous fields. For example, in modern wind turbines or large data centers, because low-energy fans for cooling and ventilation are always in demand," the official statement reads.
