Mexico. Danfoss Chairman of the Board of Directors Jørgen M. Clausen and also President of the Danish Industry Association, was with his wife Anette, at the Danfoss plant in Apocada, Nuevo León. The objective of his visit, as he has done in other latitudes, is to establish closeness with his collaborators, personally greet those who work in the plants and learn first-hand about the country's economy in the face of the challenges presented by the national economy in 2018.
Jørgen M. Clausen's vision has always been towards science and what it can do for a more human world.
Jørgen M. Clausen is the son of Danfoss founder Mads Clausen, and has been an engineer at the Danish Academy of Engineering since 1972, finishing an MBA from the University of Wisconsin in 1975; and from 1981 he became head of technical coordination and research at Danfoss. In 1990 he was a member of the Management Group and from 1991 he was director of the mobile hydraulics division to become in 1996 managing director and CEO of Danfoss until 2008 he resigned to become Group President. Notably, during 2008 Danfoss achieved a turnover of 22 billion kroner and employed 22,000 people in 70 factories in 25 countries.
Among other important positions of Jørgen M. Clausen, the president of the Advanced Technology Foundation to lead the construction of business networks in Danish industry and the presidency in the "Young Company" program that encourages young people to test their skills as entrepreneurs. His career includes a stay at the Globalization Council and his membership as part of VL Group 1. He is the founder of "Universo" an adventure park where fun is a science.
