Argentina. Johnson Controls, a company that develops ADT operations in Argentina, continues for the third consecutive year with the professional internship program for young people through the company's CSR program in that country.
This initiative aims to develop and systematize a comprehensive training methodology for young people in order to achieve with real tools, a first approach to the world of work of students who are in the last year of high school.
The program is aimed at young people of both sexes who are in their last year of technical high school. The initiative provides students with tools through internships where they will know all areas of the company and attend accompanying days with the company's technicians to acquire knowledge about different technologies and processes. Likewise, they will be immersed in a training environment together with an HR specialist for personal preparation when looking for work.
The internships will last 100 hours (20 hours of practical training and 80 hours of direct assignment to the different areas of the company) and will be carried out throughout the company, both in operational and administrative sectors, so that the applicant can count on a complete work immersion.
This initiative has been developed since 2015, when the program began with a subscribed school, four students benefited and an area of the company involved. In 2016, the growth was evident when reaching two schools, six students and three areas of the company. For this year, there are already three schools participating, 12 students benefited and four areas of the company. All this background is added to the three young people who are currently employed by the company, permanently, in different technical areas.
