Peru. On Tuesday, September 19, an international forum of the refrigeration and air conditioning industry will be held, on the occasion of the celebration of the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer which will be celebrated on September 16.
The forum aims to publicize the progress that Peru has been making in terms of environmental responsibility in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, as part of its obligations under the Montreal Protocol, of which the Ministry of Production is a Focal Point.
The event will hold keynote talks on new refrigerant gas alternatives for the sector and will present OzonoApp, the first mobile application developed by a country within the framework of the Montreal Protocol.
The event is organized by the General Directorate of Environmental Affairs of Industry of the Ministry of Production, which implements national measures for the fulfillment of the commitments assumed by the country before the Montreal Protocol, with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the United Nations Environment Program (UN Environment).
