Costa Rica. MultiFrío recently reported having achieved the Carbon Neutrality certification, a certification developed by the Ministry of Environment of Costa Rica with the intention of achieving that the country becomes carbon neutral by 2021.
Certification ensures that the company that obtains it offsets its greenhouse gas emissions so that the effect of its emissions becomes zero or less. Salo Ponchner Geller, CEO of MultiFrío said that this "is a distinctive tool for the company, which thus helps the image of the country in front of tourists and international investors being consistent with the image of an ecological country. In addition to being a source of pride for the company, it is very important because it lowers production costs (especially in the consumption of fossil fuels) and therefore makes the company more efficient."
Salo added that "At MultiFrío the motivation to become the first company to be certified in the electromechanical world and in the world of construction, is to really teach that we are committed to looking for environmentally viable options and this must start at home. The solutions that we present to our customers for their new or remodeling projects must always carry a support of environmental viability, sustainability and electrical efficiency. We have always believed in proactivity and that is why we have taken the decision to lower the emission of greenhouse gases and become C-Neutral in support of the country's image. For the same reasons we have achieved the Essential Costa Rica certification. Thus, we also ask the government of Costa Rica that in public institutions and private companies, to adopt these measures and make smart purchases towards the environment and sustainability."
MultiFrío also confirmed that it has also been ISO 9001:2008 certified for 8 years and was recently certified with the new version of ISO 9001:2015. "It has a Professional Responsibility Certification assuring its customers that it complies with the highest European, Japanese and North American standards in terms of design, installation, construction of pipelines, use of insulation and air filters, etc. as well as the Country – Essential Costa Rica Certification", commented the manager.
