Latin America. Professionals from seven countries in South America will receive courses and training on insulation to be perfected in the installation of HVAC/R equipment.
To guarantee the quality and efficiency of its thermal and acoustic insulators, and as a consequence of the HVAC/R equipment that these products will receive, Armacell invests in the training of technicians in alliances with customers.
Recently, 89 installers from Colombia were trained by Armacell, mainly from sectors such as commercial refrigeration, supermarket chains and industries that use high power systems. After Colombia, the training schedule throughout the second semester continues with technicians from Bolivia, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile and Ecuador. "No manufacturer of elastomeric insulation in the world has done this kind of training in South American countries. Therefore, this is an activity in which Armacell is a pioneer in the region," says Armacell's commercial leader for South America, Alvaro A Salado.
According to Ricardo Santos, Training Instructor, the technical training lasts two to three hours with theory and practice and basically consists of instructions in the installation of insulating tubes and blankets, in addition to the proper sealing with Armaflex® 520S adhesive. "It is not useful to have a quality product if the installation of the insulators fails, putting at risk the proper functioning of the equipment", he summarizes.
In the training in Colombia, says Ricardo, the professionals had the opportunity to make contact with more modern installation techniques. "The custom in that country and in others in South America is still to use materials made with outdated technologies that are not suitable for that type of thermal insulation." The use of armaflex® 520S adhesive and Glue Master applicator are good examples. It guarantees the efficiency of joining the insulating tubes and blankets and helps in the concept of tightness of the installation, cleaner, homogeneous and waste-free application.
Alvaro Salgado emphasizes, however, that it is not enough to teach the correct installation of equipment, we must go further. "In different countries we have contact and work with leading HVAC/R designers to improve technical specifications in projects." According to him, Armacell is the only manufacturer of elastomeric insulation that does not use only rubber as a base, but the combination of adhesives and accessory products that guarantees total control of condensation.
In Brazil, Armacell has partnered with Danfoss, which has brought together dozens of industry professionals monthly to train them and teach them best installation practices. The company also promotes technical conferences for students of the Technical Course on Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Industrial Learning and Initial and Continuing Education Programs of the SENAI School "Oscar Rodrigues Alves", located in the neighborhood of Ipiranga in São Paulo.
