International. The German manufacturer of fans and motors Ziehl-Abegg confirmed that during 2016 it managed to record a growth in sales volume of 482 million euros (compared to 447 million euros the previous year).
This means that the company grew by 8% in sales during 2016, and recorded an export share of more than 75%, while in Germany its sales had a slight increase.
"Global and political-economic conditions have been extremely difficult, but we have been able to reaffirm our strong presence in the world market," says Peter Fenkl, Chairman of the Board of Directors in relation to the provisional figures for the year, new products, as well as improved logistics and a greater commitment in sales and service have made possible the substantial growth.
The company explained that most of the growth came from other European countries. Sales in the countries of the Americas also increased at an above-average rate. "Sales volume in Asia also reached very satisfactory levels, however, it no longer shows the same dynamics as in previous years," says Fenkl.
Sales growth is mainly due to the introduction of new products. In the previous year, sales of the Cpro radial fan grew again by almost 50%. Demand for the ZAplus compact fan unit, introduced to the market five years ago, grew by 56% in the last year. It has also ventured into the market with great success the most recent fan, the Zabluefin.
