International. Schneider Electric has introduced "Continuous Efficiency", a suite of managed services and software that combines the knowledge of Schneider Electric experts with sophisticated tools and technology.
The combination of remote and on-site support, as well as software, is said to enable businesses to uncover savings opportunities, implement changes both on-site and in-house, and constantly improve performance.
"Assembly pressure to reduce operating costs, coupled with the desire of shareholders and customers to improve sustainability, has made energy stewardship a priority for businesses," said James Potach, senior vice president of Energy and Sustainability Services at Schneider Electric. "However, organizations often present technological services or solutions. And the answer for complex operations is often "both."
Continuous Efficiency combines utility, facility and operations management to reduce energy use and expenditure – between 15 and 30% on average. It also goes beyond basic energy efficiency to help commercial and industrial companies develop proactive management and maintenance programs to help extend equipment life, reduce downtime, and fine-tune systems for continuous performance.
In addition, the enterprise-level approach allows large organizations to compare all their facilities, as well as compare them with similar operations in their sector. This allows them to identify performance outliers and plan for investments that will have the fastest and best return across the portfolio.
