Panasonic Corp. and Schneider Electric announced that they have partnered to provide an integrated HVAC and building management equipment solution that delivers new levels of climate control and energy efficiency to today's commercial buildings.
Both companies have developed a new wireless interface solution that enables direct serial communication between Schneider Electric's building management system and Panasonic's variable refrigerant flow (VRF)-based HVAC system controllers, via the ZigBee wireless communication standard.
This integration allows building owners and managers to view all core building systems including HVAC, lighting, security, power and electrical distribution equipment anytime, anywhere through a single interface and provides actionable information to reduce energy consumption and generate savings.
The joint Panasonic/Schneider Electric solution can be installed wirelessly – preserving existing infrastructure and is ideal for modifications of older buildings – or it can be by wiring.
