Brazil. The Abrava Exporta Program, which has been supported by Apex-Brasil since 2004, generated a turnover of US$27.5 million in business expectations for 20 companies in a business roundtable of four fairs held between September 2015 and August 2016, in countries such as Brazil. United States, Peru, Chile and Panama.
The program is an initiative of the Brazilian Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (ABRAVA) in conjunction with the Brazilian Agency for export and investment promotion (Apex-Brazil).
The growth of companies' exports in 2015 was 191.2% compared to 2014. The companies participating in the program export to about 60 international markets, representing a 46.3% share of exports from the HVAC/R sector, an average monthly value exported per company of US$1,256,017 million (FOB). The total exported by the companies of the program in 2015 was approximately US$ 326,093,238 million (FOB), according to Apex-Brazil.
Only the International Business Round, held in September in Sao Paulo during the FEBRAVA fair, organized 132 meetings with eleven companies from countries such as Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay with Brazilian companies.
The fairs attracted an average of eight companies participating in each theme and were responsible for more than 2,300 contacts made.
Another benefit generated to the participating companies was the opening of distributors in the countries where fairs were held.
According to the manager of the Abrava Exporta Program, Leila Vasconcellos, "the actions developed in fairs abroad and the participation of Brazilian companies in the sector contribute both to the knowledge of international markets, and also to arouse the interest of the distributors of our products".
