Steril – Aire presents to the market its new portable unit technology that purifies the air aimed at the hospital sector and critical areas in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The system called Steril Zone uses patented UVC germicidal technology, to destroy biological contaminants, reduces or eliminates symptoms of asthma, allergy and other diseases caused by mold, bacteria and their metabolic products.
It also reduces the spread of infectious diseases, destroys airborne viruses that cause colds, flu and other infectious diseases.
The system in addition to the germicidal emitter has a carbon filter that removes volatile organic compounds that generate odors that trigger allergic reactions and sneezing. This filter is complemented by a high-efficiency folded filter to trap particles WITHOUT ionization and without electrostatic discharges. In independent tests the system yielded the following results:
In virus tests using a substitute bacterial virus, the results obtained were:
- Average reduction 99.32%, with the maximum reduction achieved at low speeds 99.995%.
In bacteria tests using very resistant bacteria bacterial spores simulating Anthrax.
- Average reduction 99.98% at all speeds.
In tests of bacteria with vegetative cell Pseudomonas.
- Average reduction 99.99% at all speeds.
In tests with two different types of mold commonly found in air conditioning equipment.
- Average reduction 99.98% at all speeds.
In tests performed with an extremely resistant mold spore - Aspergillus Niger.
- Average reduction 97.01%, with the maximum reduction achieved at low speeds 99.95%.
