United States. Emerson announced that it is expanding its presence in cold chain management with the acquisition of Locus Traxx and PakSense. Emerson said these investments in charging solutions will provide consistent and safe control of food and other temperature-sensitive products.
Locus Traxx, based in Jupiter, Florida, offers real-time temperature loggers, which can be monitored anytime, anywhere, using cloud-based analytics. This allows cargo owners to monitor high-value and food shipments throughout the supply chain to promote freshness and quality.
PakSense, headquartered in Boise, Idaho, offers a full range of temperature monitoring solutions by adjusting a wide range of shipments and cost/benefit scenarios that monitor the condition of perishable products throughout the supply chain, so that only the freshest and safest products reach consumers.
"With these acquisitions, we are expanding our leadership in helping growers, food processors, carriers, retailers and others improve temperature control, product quality and cargo control throughout the supply chain," said Mark Dunson, group vice president of Electronics and Solutions, Emerson.
