International. The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) published the third edition of the International Energy Efficiency Classification in which the 23 countries with the greatest achievements in this regard are highlighted.
Mexico, which ranked 19th, and Brazil with 22nd, are the only two Latin American representatives on the list that is again led by Germany, followed by Italy and Japan. This list represents 75% of the energy consumption of the entire planet.
The classification established 35 indicators grouped into four categories (building, industry, transport and general energy use at the national level) that serve to score countries on a scale from 0 to 100.
