Brazil. Brazilian retailer Atacadão installed a transcrıtic CO2 system in one of its stores, at a site that recently opened its doors in Atibaia, in the state of Sao Paulo.
Having successfully tested the system, store managers hope to improve the energy efficiency of the establishment and offer reliable operation in the hot and humid conditions of southern Brazil.
With a total commercial area of 6,300m2, the store is supported by a centralized transcrıtic CO2 system. System supplier Advansor provided the two racks, with a refrigerant load of 150 kg each. The system is based on parallel compression, using Bitzer compressors, and direct evaporation.
Complementary to the centralized system, the store has large independent refrigeration cabinets with propane (R290) supplied by the Austrian manufacturer AHT.
