International. Trane announced the expansion of its range of CenTraVac centrifugal chillers, initially for the United States and Canada, with models that will operate with low Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerants: R514A and R1233zd.
For 2017, Trane will offer CenTraVac small-tonnage chillers for markets such as municipal offices and buildings with a choice of the current, high-efficiency refrigerant R-123 or R-514A. R-514A is a new generation, low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant from Chemours (Opteon ™ XP30).
Trane now offers CenTraVac heavy-tonnage chillers for applications such as industrial buildings, data centers and higher education facilities with R-1233zd (Honeywell Solstice® ZD).
"We are thrilled to offer our customers new options for achieving sustainability goals for their building or business, without compromising safety, performance or efficiency," said Dave Regnery, president of Trane's North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa HVAC area at Ingersoll Rand. "We pair our technical expertise and applications with new refrigerant and service offerings to deliver the efficiency and reliability customers expect."
