Brazil. The HVAC segment can have an important partner in the climate to boost sales at the end of the year and the beginning of 2016. The expectation of Asbrav - Southern Brazilian Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Heating and Ventilation is that with the high temperatures, the sector will compensate for the decrease in sales caused by the economic recession in the country.
"The air conditioning industry has the heat with a thermometer and, from this fact, the segment expects a good season. If the summer is very hot, there will be no crisis to maintain sales. Heat is the business meter," says the manager of Frigelar, associate of the Asbrav, Andre Mello.
If sales were high, there is an expectation that the same sales levels of last year can be achieved, even with the worst economic scenario. Due to the recession, sales decreased by 34% compared to the same period last year. To liven up this result, stores invest in marketing and sales actions. The calculation is that sales can increase by up to 50% when thermometers exceed 36 degrees. Companies rely on inventories and there is no fear of a lack of equipment.
