China. The Chinese Ministry of Environmental Protection together with Unep, United, GIZ and Cheaa recently launched the Environmental Protection and low GWP label for residential air conditioning systems and air-to-water heat pump water heaters.
The selection criteria were as follows: to meet the national standard for energy-saving products, use zero ODP and refrigerants of less than 150 GWP.
On March 19, 2015, the China Development and Reform Commission announced the "Energy Efficiency Label for Lithium Bromide Absorption Chiller." The label aims to improve the visibility of energy efficiency and encourage companies to put a globally accessible QR code on the label.
The Chinese Ministry of Environmental Protection reported that the new measure will come into force from December 2015 and can be applied in www.energylabel.gov.cn.
