Brazil. The nineteenth edition of the International Fair of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Refrigeration and Air Treatment (Febrava) that took place from September 22 to 25 registered figures that exceeded all expectations.
This year's event, during the four days of development, could count on 380 exhibitors, more than 650 national and international brands and a record and qualified visitation that exceeded more than 30,000 visitors both locally and internationally, which exceeds what was done in 2013 when the fair had the participation of 250 exhibitors and more than 550 brands from Brazil and abroad.
Despite the negative economic moment that Brazil is going through and the absence of some leading companies in the sector, Febrava was once again the meeting point for all members of the HVAC/R guild, and the great reference for business generation. Important companies were present to exhibit their main technological innovations, which were also recognized by the Abrava seal (Brazilian Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating) "Destaque Inovação – Outstanding Innovation".
Abrava expects the fair to generate business of around US$97 million over the next two years.
Another of the highlights of this edition had to do with the so-called "Thematic Islands of Professional Education", which this year were commanded by the Faculty of Technology of the University of São Paulo. Environment, Clean Areas, Cold Chain, Vocational Education, Solar Heating.
Likewise, Febrava successfully developed its other traditional activities such as the Conbrava Congress, the National Meeting of Planning and Consulting Companies, and the Business Roundtable organized by the Abrava Exporta program that this year had the participation of businessmen from Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, among other nations.
The appointment will be again in 2017, the year in which the event expects to exceed the 50,000 square meters of exhibition that opened this year.
