Spain. Thanks to an energy management system, Schneider Electric reported that its 10,500 m2 building, located on a street in Barcelona, managed to reduce its energy consumption by 29.6%.
For the company, this achievement meant in parallel a reduction of more than 91% tons of CO2 emissions and will allow the investment to be amortized in less than two years, thanks to the savings in the energy bill.
The building is automated and sustainable and emphasizes its savings systems in the areas of air conditioning and lighting that adapt to the different working environment and climatic conditions. The building now totals 42.5% in heating and 33.1% in cooling.
The building known as the Bac de Roda is located in the city of Barcelona.
