Japan. Panasonic has announced a number of small commercial cassette-type air conditioners that run on R32 refrigerant.
The new G-series units are available in cooling capacities from 5.6kW to 14kW and heating capacities from 6.3kW to 16kW. Up to four 4-way cassette systems can be run outside of an outdoor unit.
The company says the redesigned and optimized components will bring huge energy efficiency improvements, particularly at part load. Heat transfer performance will improve by increasing the heat transfer area and refrigerant flow. They also claim to have paid special attention to optimizing the refrigerant flow path to match the properties of the R32 refrigerant.
The date of commercialization of these technologies in Latin America has not yet been confirmed.
