United States. Johnson Controls has been awarded two awards by General Motors – the 2014 Supplier of the Year and the Overdrive Award, marking the fifth time the HVAC and automation firm has received recognition for its performance.
The suppliers were honored during the automaker's 23rd annual event in Detroit on March 5. These awards recognize suppliers for "going above and beyond," and for their delivery of innovative technology, superior quality, point crisis management, and cost-competitive solutions.
"These awards are the result of hard work by our employees, who are committed to a strong partnership with General Motors and benefiting from Johnson Controls' operating system," said Brian Grady, vice president and general manager of the General Motors business unit for Johnson Controls Automotive Seating. "Johnson Controls' operating system leverages best practices from our businesses to improve quality, productivity and speed."
