Brazil. The Brazilian Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Heating and Ventilation (Asbrav) estimates that the sale of air conditioners would be 17% higher than the previous summer in the south of the country. Knowing this, the industry had already prepared so that there was no shortage of product on the market, as has happened in previous years.
"All the programming is done annually, therefore, the preparation by the manufacturer is done with the forecast of market growth," explains the director of the regional office of Santa Catarina de Asbrav, Arivan Sampaio Zanluca.
Blumenau, Florianópolis and Joinville are the cities with the highest volume of sales. According to the director, the reduction in the prices of residential models has been the main driving factor of sales.

The number of Brazilian households is estimated at 62.8 million, of which 15% have air conditioning. The Brazilian air conditioning market is divided between split line equipment (74%), window devices (15%) and central ones, with approximately 11% of the market.
