Venezuela. The national government reported that it is executing an air conditioner replacement plan that will replace a total of 300,000 pieces of equipment in the state of Zulia and other states of the country.
As revealed by the digital newspaper panorama.com.ve the ceo of Corpoelec Industrial, Efrén Martin, this plan will modify the air conditioning equipment that is consuming more energy. "On the instructions of President Nicolás Maduro and Minister Jesse Chacón, Corpoelec and Corpoelec Industrial, together with the Ministry of Youth, will carry out a plan to replace 300,000 air conditioners in some states," Martin explained to the local newspaper.
To access the benefit, people will have to make the request and will receive the visit of a certified technician, who will verify that the equipment is really inefficient in energy consumption. The airs exchanged are 12,000 or 18,000 BTU.
With this measure, the government expects to reduce energy consumption by 397 megawatts.
