El Salvador. Panasonic announced that it continues its Eco expansion in Latin America with new photovoltaic projects in El Salvador, together with the companies Hilcasa and Intradesa as allies to promote the use of solar panels.
Currently Hilcasa has increased the power in its Mega Solar Project that is installed in one of its factories, growing from 1MW. to 1.4MW. On September 25, 2013, his factory presented a photovoltaic project consisting of 4,028 Panasonic solar panels, a figure that has grown to 5,792 units which help reduce CO2 emissions by 267 tons per year.
Similarly, Intradesa has a photovoltaic system installed on the roof of one of its buildings with 3,608 Panasonic solar panels that generate 920KW.
In the case of Intradesa, the system manages to generate 1.68 GWH per year and CO2 emissions have been reduced to 257 tons per year.
