International. According to a survey of a group of attendees at the last AHR Expo in New York, 41% of more than 2,000 respondents said they had attended the fair to look for products related to renewable energy resources.
When these sample results are projected across the 42,000 more visitors, that will mean that more than 17,000 HVACR professionals came to New York to find products and solutions that could replace conventional energies with more sustainable options.
"We're not surprised. We know that interest in renewable energy resources is growing rapidly, so it is especially encouraging to see such widespread interest across all segments of HVACR professionals at the show," said Clay Stevens, president of the International Expo Co., which produces and manages the AHR Expo.
Other areas in which attendees said they were interested were cooling (77%), heating (73), ventilation (57), hydraulic heating (49), building automation and control (45), tools and instruments (45), renewable resources (41), cooling (40), plumbing products (31), components (27), and software (24).
